Deepwater Artificial Seabed (DAS) Production System: An Innovative Approach to Cost-Effective Deepwater and Ultra-Deepwater Field Developments

چکیده
The prevailing offshore field development solutions, i.e., dry tree and wet systems, are confronted with serious technical economic challenges in deep ultra-deep waters resulting from the large depth of water, far distance, harsh ocean environmental conditions, as well high cost. In response to these challenges, an innovative Deepwater Artificial Seabed (DAS) production system is proposed this article. DAS concentrates on access riser design, which enables shallow-water-rated subsea systems develop (DW) Ultra-Deepwater (UDW) fields. First, DW & UDW drivers discussed presented. This followed by a detailed discussion merits demerits solutions. On basis, design philosophy main characteristics presented detail. Dynamic survival analysis for fully coupled Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO)-DAS carried out. artificial seabed stability systematically investigated both intact damaged conditions. global results indicate that developed experiences quasi-static responses even under extreme storm due location decoupling effects flexible jumpers. new considered be competitive cost-effective solution depths up 3000 m.

Scada System Trends in Deepwater Developments
Subsea systems used in combination with host facilities, such as floating, production storage and offloading units (FPSOs), tension leg platforms (TLPs), spars or compliant towers employ supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems whose architectures differ from SCADA systems found on conventional platforms. In these systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) located on the hos...
متن کاملAdvanced Deepwater Monitoring System
This study investigates new methods to improve deepwater monitoring and addresses installation of advanced sensors on ”already deployed” risers, flowlines, trees, and other deepwater devices. A major shortcoming of post installed monitoring systems in subsea is poor coupling between the sensor and structure. This study provided methods to overcome this problem. Both field testing in subsea envi...

In pipeline-riser systems, pressure fluctuations which result from the formation of large liquid slugs and gas surges due to operational changes or low mass flow rate from production wells and the profile of pipeline-riser systems often lead to trips at the inlet of the separator; and thereby, the problem causes a a loss of the production. In this study, on a sample deep-water oil field off the ...
متن کاملRice growth adapting to deepwater.
Flooding is one of the most hazardous natural disasters, and there are several levels of flooding. Recently, research on flood-tolerant rice plants revealed that some rice varieties have evolved to overcome two different flood types, 'flash flood' and 'deepwater flood', using two different mechanisms, and their molecular mechanisms were determined. During flash flooding, the tolerant plants tha...
